This thread is to all the men who seem to think cancer wont get them.
4 weeks ago i noticed one of my testies was bigger then the other so i went straight onto google only to find the words TESTICULAR CANCER so i went to the doctor the next day.
after having a CT scan and ultrasound they found the cancer so a week later i was having the testical removed and a new one put in this was extremely frightning so guys if you have these symptoms get it checked out ASAP today i start my radiation treatment:(

geez, best of luck with the treatment,...!!

well spotted, just the other day on 'embarassing bodie' they did a segment on testicular self examinations for this. if found early enough it is very treatable but just like us chicks have to do self examinations, don't think you guys aren't immune.

@venomdude: well caught and good luck with the treatment!

Oh wow mate, that sucks.

Sorry to hear, hope you spotted it early enough and the treatment goes well.

All the best mate.

Bugger that's no good. Atleast you found it early. Best of luck in the future, hope it goes well with the treatment. Cancer is a terrible disease.

Glad to hear you that you found it and got it treated so quickly. I wish you all the best for a full recovery. And that you were able to come here to warn others is a fantastic. Good for you. You must be a good hearted man.

So sorry to hear about your news, but glad your not like most men out there and just leave it be and see what happens. So glad you went to see about it- very brave of you & great you posted this as a warning to others. All the very best with your treatment.

so true, my bf found a lump in his nut about 8 years ago,...for a year or 2 i nagged him to get it checked and it always ended up in the biggest fights, it must be ok cos 8 years later its still there and hes still alive,....

silly boys,....

Good luck venomdude, I wish you all the best with your treatment, and I am positive that because you have caught it early, all will be ok...

See boys- playing with your balls and talking about it is ok!!! My dad had testicular cancer as well, and also another of our friends. It is oh so common, but very rarely talked about.

It is a scary fact that many people think these things wont effect them. I lost one of mine when I was VERY young due to this. Guys be aware and dont be scared to check with a doctor. Cancer is real and effects everyone! I lost my dad to cancer last August, he was only 52 years old, didn't drink, didn't smoke and was fit.

My wife has just finished treatment for cancer and i read up every bit of
information i could on all types and the common theme was get it checked
out straight away and your chances are good.

Good luck Dude, remember, half the fight Is in the Melon...;)

hope everything works out mate, my boss has been through 9 weeks or so of treatment for teste cancer and father in law has had a lung removed and 2 ops on his brain and chemo and stereotactic radiation for the last 2 years....

Brings reality home doesn't, lucky you found it early Venomdude. All men should check themselves regulary. Better to go to the Doctor and find out it is a false alarm and know all is well, than to put it off and find out too late.
