Was on the radio a few minutes ago,joanne and the radio commentator was carrying on like a real porkchop about people with crazy pets etc.
Ide say the crocodile and python looked better off where they were from a keeping point of view,they looked well looked after.
Its the NPWS fault for banning the keeping of crocodiles under an advanced license in NSW.
I liked the part in the interview where she said the reptiles were lucrative and expensive and that you could get them from a pet shop or keeper,didnt have a clue.

Um, we also know that he had them illegally? And (allegedly) being a maker and distributor of drugs is plent of reason to judge them, in my opinion.

Also "maybe if they let you own a croc on licence he wouldn't have one off licence" is a thoroughly ridiculous argument. However you feel about it, the law is the law, and merely not liking a particular rule is not adequate justification for ignoring it.

Oh and pretty sure dogs and cats have to be registered and microchipped so that they can be returned to their owners when they're lost.

For the record i did smoke dope but i never inhaled and the accusation of him being my dealer is untrue, the reason i dont care if hes selling drugs is that if he wasnt doing it someone else would be and since his selling of drugs effected me not why should i make it my business, as for keeping reptiles illegally if he wanted to thats once again his business we all did it 15 yrs ago or am i the only one with that much experience you goodie goodies make me sick, at least when it was illegal everybody gave away unwanted reps to people less fortunate now all you do is make a huge profit on your animals and your saying i dont have morals give me a break thomass . What if it were your kids he was dealing to? Would you still not care, as if he weren't doing it someone else would be?

Also as you've effectively just said that you don't care who his activities are harming as long as it's not you, yeah, I'd say thomasssss was right to question your morals.

If being a good mate meant turning a blind eye to someone dealing hard drugs then count me out, call me "KING SNITCH". In the past I have broken the law like most people but when I have I'd have had no one else to blame but myself if I'd been caught. Anyone who can consider dealing Ice as no one elses business is no better than the dealer themselves. If the SNITCH and relevant authorities should have turned a blind eye to the reptiles because they were well cared for then I should stop paying rates because I keep my lawn mowed and tidy, I should forget about registering my car because it is well maintained and roadworthy and I should cancel my drivers licence because I haven't been booked or had an accident in the last decade at least. No one should SNITCH on me for doing this, just pray that they aren't involved in an accident with me when I'm unregistered and unlicenced. OHHHH what a wonderful theory.

Agree 100 percent everyone is so hi and mighty you'd think they were Jesus Christ himself, no wonder people are getting shot or bashed poking there nose in everyone else's business then reporting it to cops, I just cut a tree down anyone wanna snitch. not to nit pick, but I wouldn't put a freshie in the same league as a death adder.

A similar situation happened in Adelaide several years back, a croc was confiscated after a police raid sent to Monarto Zoo who contacted Dundee's Wildlife Park (now closed) Dundee's said they didn't have room but Monarto insisted it would be fine housed with a similar sized conspecific despite protest from the manager that it would be a potentially deadly risk. Long story short that croc was found deceased one morning shortly after and the resident croc injured as well.

Sometimes there are greater consequences for the animals involved after they are confiscated, the original owner put the animal in an unfortunate position then the officials sometimes make poor judgements and ultimately the animals lose out, I hope this situation has a more positive conclusion.

If you are so worried about drugs and kids why live in the only place you can legally grow your own dope. I doubt all of the drugs grown in Canberra are for own consumption.

has this guy been charged with the drug possesion/distribution etc? Last i heard it was just the reptile related issues he got done for. May have been somebody else in the house involved in the drug side of things. So much for innocent until proven guilty.....................

hahaha jokes on you mate , you know nothing about me , your talking to a 19 year old that has over $30000 not a typo over thirty thousand dollars in inheritance money from my deceased father , ive also got my own bulldozer , a boat and more tools than you could poke a stick at from tig welders all the way down to hammers even got a concrete saw my own 4wd +my fathers hilux

I've got dozers too. A Cat d11 amongst 'em. And cause of them, I cant even afford half a bloody kitkat P.S, I dont eat sweets anyway, so I'm not really upset
