Punk star to give Aussie 'jungle' a miss
Former Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren has pulled out of a British reality TV show before it starts filming in Australia after being told seven of the world's most venomous snakes live near the set.
The ageing punk rocker is the first contestant of I'm A Celebrity: Get Me Out Of Here to leave the show before it starts.
"At the age of 61, he was intimidated by the physical challenges," an unnamed source from television channel ITV told The Mail on Sunday.
"He just lost his bottle."
The program features minor celebrities camping in a remote rain forest area - referred to on the show as "the jungle".
They are exposed to "bush tucker" trials and physical challenges through areas infested with snakes, insects and rats to win public votes.
Former Neighbours star Jason Donovan finished third in the 2006 edition of the show.
