I started with only hooded rats. 1 male (grey/tan colour and white) and two female (both black and white).
I am now regularly producing pure white with pink eyes and breeding these females.
Is this normal? Given I haven't introduced any new blood?
They are very healthy and regularly raising litters of 15/16/17 pups.

If one of the parents was het for albinism and you bred one of the offspring back to the mother and that off spring was het, then yes... it is normal.

both pairs are hets?

either that or spontaneous gene mutation is all i could think of

I know nothing, but they are pretty rats, it's a shame they will not make thesnake poo any prettier
