it was a good read although i would like to give that auther a bit of a bashing seeing as he doesnt live in oz and seems to think we r unfairly restricted. lol...like hell they would be able to match the population of wild beardies.
That guy is a *BLEEPIN*idiot!
 
He jumped up and down about being allowed to import rodents (ie laboratry rats and mice) but I have to point out a few things.

The animals must be verified healthy by quarrantine and vet inspection
If a few healthy lab mice escape, what are they going to do? Teach the wild mice population how to smoke? More than likely they will be killed by the mice that already inhabit Oz.
Only transgenic mice or mice of a particularly valuble strain will be imported because of economics. At a minimial import cost of $1,145 a colony, I'm not bringing any in, Looks like my WPs are stuck with the domestics.
