I found this spider climbing up the wall the other day.

1st I thought it may be a trap door of some sort, that had been flushed out with all the rain Ive had at my place.
But after a closer look, why would a trap door require 360 degree vision (side eyes)?

Im no spider expert, but didnt like the look of this one, as it wasnt small.

Im 100% sure its not a Huntsman.
I have many varities of huntsmans around my house, this is not one.

Huntsmans are a flat lying spider, hiding under bark ect.
This thing hasnt got the flat head or body shape.

well it looks like a type of Heteropoda, a species of huntman, but im not 100%
Im not a spider expert but i can tell its not a trap door

haha, just to be different I'm going to suggest it looks more like a wolf spider.
The climbing would seem unusual, but not impossible (considering I get wolf spiders in my house, meaning they'd have to climb the front or back stairs/wall).

yeah some sort of wolf spider. The lengths of the legs in relation to each other don't match a huntsmans.

Andy looks like a wolf spider , was it very aware of your presence and was it jumpy?

Now that i actually click on the pics for a better view, its legs aren't bent in that Huntsman fashion. very wolf spider like, No idea on the species. I'm used to the Lycosa Godefroyii around my are which look different to that Wolf.

Yeah, they tend to get big enough for people to worry, lol.
