Shrimp are great! I am into bright red cherries or clearly banded CRS.
But I think the endless highly subjective grades and huge prices charged for 'mosura' etc etc are crazy. On another aussie forum, as you shrimp people may well know already, one bloke was charging $600 a piece for high grade CRS.... That is, for a 3cm-long aquatic crustacean with a limited lifespan. Yikes.
Very easy Sachs . It's some of the more expensive ones that can be a bit demanding on water quality. (hence price and aailability) Cherries would be the easiest to keep. Just make sure there's nothing in there that will eat them and they thrive lol. Once we move house I'm looking at setting up a tank with some CBS from a mate of mine
I really like some of aquascape some people make for their shrimps.
This is my planted set up
the cherrys breed crazy in it
But i also have one where i have been selective breeding them with only the redest i can find and 99% of the shrimplets are red at 1mm and when there older you see them in a tank befor the fish
