Ok, but like keeping as a pet whats the difference?

Oh and fuscus i emailed him and he emailed me right back, the snakesnt people that is, they have single water pythons for $90 including freight ( to brisbane) and a pair for 150, im not sure if thats with freight, would these snakes be ok? also anyone owned a tree snake before?

well pythons are easy to keep...colubrids vary a lot more and are pretty much all specialised feeders. Common tree snakes (dendrelaphis punctulata) are frog specialists although they also take reptiles and fish. They can be converted onto mice but it can be extremely difficult...best bets would be feeding em fish. I hav had heaps of tree snakes, and all except 1 has posed a problem with feeding. If u are not experienced in keeping snakes and/or u r not a patient person i dont recommend tree snakes.

You can't group things into pythons vs colubrids etc

Some are stupidly easy to keep, some aren't worth the time...depends on the exact species.

It would be perfectly fine. The might be wild caught (legally). Ben is a good bloke, has helped me out a few times, and you won't get a cheaper deal than that.

I just looked at the SnakesNT website and there is no WP's for $90...$150 each.

:p Hey sxe,ben quite often has things 4sale that he dont put on there website,i dont think they do a lot of web updating,i think its more of an advertisement than a functioning site, well it was last i looked. :p

cheers popp
