1st attempt at a basking platform...

Any tips on what i should and shouldnt do 4 next time...

yeah good natural shape - if you want texture try dabbing the paintbrush on the grout while its still wet to give it an uneven rustic look and get the sharp bits off after its dried or try sprinkeling a little fine coloured sand over one of the layers of sealant to help with traction :-D

kinda reminds me of pride rock... im gonna make a pride rock now hehe
 
A hint I saw the other day is take a lighter (Preferably a long stove lighter) and just run it along the edges...it make much nicer groves and more realistic weathered effect...Practise first on some foam lying around last thing you want to do is singe a big dent into your master piece :p
