Hi Guys
I was wondering if someone could help me with a Q that I seem to be getting mixed responses about:
Central Beardies - do they produce the eggs BEFORE they're mated so the second that you feel little 'peas' in their bellies you should be throwing them in with the boys, OR// do they develop the eggs AFTER mating?
I understand that females can produce eggs just cos they may have witnessed someone else getting some and that can stimulate them to create them, and I am well aware of the whole 'double/triple clutching' etc etc.
Reason why I ask is coz I keep getting different answers and I keep forgetting to ask the vet!! Doh!!
Thanx
Bex

Bex,your probably feeling mature follicles waiting to be fertilized and shelled, they can still be re-absorbed at this stage. You dont have to wait till this stage till you mate as you can mate them before she ovulates and the males sperm lasts till she does.
