Blue tongue temperament

Hi, I have a baby eastern blue tongue and I would say that I have socialised it really well. It tollorates me really well and likes it when I pat around his ears and eyebands. The reason I am making this post is that with other socialised animals(like monitors from NERD) they are able to make fast motions around there face and they won't flinch but my blue tongue does even to what seems like a slow movement, I am qurious to know if this is a age thing or a it not being fully socialised yet.
