Hi

Im going to put two bluetongues into an outdoor pit (a male and a female) that are house separately at the moment, im not particularly looking at breeding them but if i was to introduce them now what is the chance of them breeding? is it to late for them? the only reason im asking is so i can know for sure that it may be a possibility so i dont get a suprise im not prepared for.

They mate in late July to Mid Sept generally so I don't think they will breed at this time of year....

As mentioned, it is extremely unlikely they would breed now.

Depending on their original locale, breeding would finish in October.
Gestation is 3-5 months, so birth times would normally be between December and March.
