lol - I love it when my snakes yawn; really never thought about snakes yawning before. Question though: our coastal's mouth is blue inside, when he yawns, but my spotted has a pink mouth. I assume this is normal since both are healthy and happy, but is it typical for the species, or do all snakes just have different coloured mouths individually?

Xeaal, it's normal. Different species - different gum colour.
