went for a walk in local bush area today, first time in quite a while. last visit it was a mess of pollution. today i found it had been cleaned up considerably and i saw some wildlife has returned. saw numerous skinks small and large, a few beardies and what appeared to be a "family" of jackie lizards, one large and several very small ones all together soaking up the afternoon sun. it was nice to see, made my day. just thought id share that. :D

Interestingly, I have read that rubbish tips and old, run-down cemetrys are good places to find herps. You would think that rubbish would be bad for them, but some actually prefer to live under rubbish than in natural shelter sites.
