Central west NSW

Just wondering where would be good around the central west area to go for a bit of a herp?
When's the better time of day to go??

not sure but im in dubbo and keen to get out for a look..

Depends where you are in the central west. I'm in Dubbo, and no of a couple of ok places to go, but it depends on what your looking for as well. I was involved in a fauna survey at one of the parks here earlier this year and we didn't find any snakes but we did find laceys and I know that that park is a beaut for finding laceys and goulds monitors when the weather is right.
