Hi everyone,
Just a quick one - i'm building an enclosure out of MDF, and it will have a 100w ceramic heat lamp, screwed into one of those round flared ceramic lamp holders... my question is how far away from the MDF walls should the ceramic heat lamp/holder be?
I understand that most people mount the ceramic base to the roof of their enclosures - and this must get quite hot - but considering that the ceramic lamps direct heat downward from the flat-face of the lamp, do you think that much heat would hit the surrounding walls?
thanks for your help,
Lockie.
