i haven't been able to get into the chatroom via the link. I looked on everywherechat.com which there is a link too on the chat page and it isn't listed has the chat been deleted??

I can get into it via mirc only.

Is anyone able to explain what is happening??

Strange. Is the applet loading, are you getting an error? What is happening at your end?

the link is showing the normal chat page but the applet (is that the thingy that all the chat messages showed up on??) isn't loading

there isn't any error messages

Just tried it and it works perfectly. Loads up, type in a nick, opens the chat room. Sounds like a problem at your end. Are you using a firewall, maybe you should download the latest version of Java from http://www.sun.com/java
