My little male yearling coastal only just shed a couple of days ago, also fed last night with out hesitation. The problem however has only risen to my attention today, he seems to have a cold? or worse R.I. :( He is exhibiting some strange behaviour... stretching his neck and head out straight, then exhaling really loudly with his neck, under chin bloating out in the exhale? Also rubbing his head and nose really hard on everything. After giving him a close inspection tonight i noticed during one of the exhaling episodes that there was a little bit of mucus, bubbles, coming from his right nostril..also checked his nose for a clear passage, there is no skin left in there..
PLEASE any help or advice would be appreciated.. :(

He will need to get onto a dose of baytril ASAP, so see your nearest herp vet as soon as you can.

Thanks for the replies Hugsta & IhaveHerps, i will ring the vet in the morning, he is not a reptile specialist, actually the only snake he has ever treated is my big fella Jake, spun him out :) , for a small case of mouth rot.
So it looks like Brutus will have a road trip..
Just one more question, should i treat all of my pythons with a shot of baytril just to be on the safe side or could this have adverse effects.?. My two yearlings are housed together at the moment, i havn't got another enclosure anywhere near ready to split them up.

Again...THANKS HEAPS LADS!! 8)
