I might have to see if I can find one (or a pic of one), I've looked up pics of the ones mentioned, and nothing looks like the one's I found.

It's probably an entirely different species haha
 
They were really dark, very smooth (very tiny scales) and shiny, but you could plainly see their legs. Maybe about 80mm long or so. When I said they moved like a snake, when they were disturbed they would 'slither' away very quickly and try to get under something, but necer turn and face you.

Nina, can you describe them in more detail?
Were there any distinguishing markings or patterns?

A big clue would be the location. Knowing that would really narrow it down.
Whereabouts in South Australia did you find them :?:


P.S - Otherwise it could be a Ninascincus microscalatus? :wink:
