DISPLAYING QUESTION

HELLO PPL

just wonderin if some one can give me the lowdown on public displaying of herps as i would like to make a display cage behind the counter at work

Cant be done without a display/exhibition licence

Lots of rules and conditions.
PLUS you will need minimum 2 million public liability.

you serious just for a carpet that cant even draw blood yet
thats a bit full on. he will be caged during work hours. but hey if ya can get a law suit for softly brushing past someone anything is posable

Yup!
Its minimum & will cover you for upto 30 animals though I think.You also need appropriate housing,feed,water & all other basics (common sense & practise anyway so should be no drama).You will need appropriate signs to describe the species to the public (education & awareness), and warning signs in case of any dangers such as elapids,crocs etc.You will need regular vet visits as well as accurate & up to date records of the animals to be displayed (feeds,sheds,medicines etc).Theres a few more things that I cant remember at this point.
