Do turtles Shed?

They do shed the shell flukes as they grow but I don't think they shed the actual skin. I could very easily be wrong though :)
 
They do seem to shed the skin on their head and feet. I have seen them in aquaria several times with what appears to be shed skin hanging off them in these areas. But I have absolutely no knowledge of turt's :D
 
They shed skin from their head/neck/legs etc too.
 
Yep, turts shed as they grow just like snakes but in raggedy bits! shell scuts(peices)are also shed as the shell grows too. :D
 
Yeah, mine shed a bit. Especially after they get a cut from feeding or something... the skin usually comes away as it heals... My largest E. Maquarii is shedding some of her plates at the moment. I think she is getting her adult carapace!!! Shes a big girl now!!
