I am expecting to get my new green tree frogs on thursday, have their cage all set up but have a question re. feeding them.
How do you offer them woodies?
My dragons I used to put a cermaic dish painted with fluon in the cage with 30 odd woodies in there and they would eat them.
I am a bit concerned about fluon getting onto the frogs, and alos the frogs allowing them woodies to escape.
Do people tweezer feed them or is there another way of going about it?

You can put the woodies in the fridge for about 3-5 minutes, just enough time to slow them down but their legs will be just slowly moving so the frogs can still see the movement, that way the frogs can get the woodies in time. You can do this with crickets too, just dont forget them in the fridge for too long, or they will die.

Hi Magpie, I take each frog out one at a time and place them in a "plastic aquiruim" like this: http://makeashorterlink.com/?Z5991175C
I find this way good as 1. I know how much everyone is eating, 2. Doesn't mess up my tank, 3. I have gravel in my tank and this can cause problems if they swollow it, so avoids this, 4. No run away roaches in my tank.

Have a look around here: http://frogs.org.au/community/
for more info.

Tong feed them, you can control how much they each are getting. Green Tree Frogs are prone to obesity.

You can do Either Craig, plastic ttweezers (held Horizontally!) can be fun and you can be sure how much is eating. Some just like to hunt and refuse this method. For them a separate container, no fluon, or better still no substrate in the tank, just feed adlib, leave carrot for the insects. :)
