FNQ Residents/ Cyclone YASI;

Well recently iv been informed by a loving neighbour that FNQ residents can claim $1000 through CENTERLINK Due to being "stranded in residents for 24 hours or more" this is because the government & media issued warnings that everybody must stay indoors UNLESS its an emergency, Now i'm not to sure if i'm just a-bit behind the ball here or what but I'v personally claimed along with my family + our whole street & received the $1000 within 24 HRS!?, Anybody else heard of this or am i just a-bit behind?, By the way got till august 2/11 to claim.
