I am curious to know if any of you guys and girls have ever tried using 'Frontline' flea spray on your snakes to get rid of mites.
It is designed for use on cats and dogs, but has proved very useful on snakes, usually you spray some onto a cloth and then run your snakes through your hands through the cloth, it that makes sense. Works really well.
You still have to follow standard procedures to get rid of the mites in the viv, though it can be used effectively inside the viv, with water removed and good ventilation, spray and wipe!

Another product is a US line called 'Mites off', but haven't seen it available in the UK for a while, is it available over here?

Please consult your vet if you are unsure wether to try any product as strengths of chemicals in products may vary from country to country.

Frontline spray

Thanks Neil,
Makes sense the spray you speak of. If you look at the ingredients of different products, most are very similar, even lice shampoo for humans.
Thanks for that comment.
