was feeding my beardy some woodies coated in calcium powder and beardys having a fairly psycho feeding response managed to cover the enclosure in the powder. I later noticed him actually licking the powder off the rocks and tiles so i experimented and put a tiny bit on the floor and he ran over and ate it up...

i was wondering if you can just provide your beardy with a small bowl of calcium powder cus it appears that the lizard knows exactly what it is and eats it up.

my other theory is that he has just associated the calcium powder with food..

what do you guys think?

i dust with calcium every 2nd day and use vitamin powder once a week, as most care sheets will recommend. i am just interested in the fact they will actually eat it straight.
