I dont want to high Jack the thresd but I also noticed in the NSW returns, that people where keeping Asia House Geckos.

Debatable. They may have had a foothold colony in Oz for a long time ( 100 - 500 years ), but it is only recently that they have become widespread

I always thought that they were much more recent immigrants to OZ and that they are out competing other native Geckos.
