Hello Everyone,

Just a quick question about my two snakes.

1 x Diamond/carpet mix, 1 x carpet.

I am wanting to hibernate them this year and have cooled the cage during the night. Typically its about 18 - 20 during the night and up to 26 under then lamp during the day. I haven’t feed them for four weeks and they have both shed in that time. The diamond yesterday. They still prowl around at night.

1) Should I feed them,

2) is this temp range OK,

3) should they curl up and hide for a month or so if I keep the temp down at night.

I have read about everything I can find and would like some feedback.

Thanks in advance.

Great site
.

Temp at the basking spot should be around 32 degrees during the day IMO. They will still remain pretty active during this time. Probably best not to feed them until it warms up a bit, as the cold nights will make it hard for them to digest their food properly.
