OK - so I am ordering the Melamime (cut to size and edged) today. The measurements will be approx 1200 long x 550 deep x 550 high.
How many vents do you think I will need. I have looking aorund for black vents and found some on ebay - they measure 260mm x 125mm each. How many do you think I will need?

Also, from what I gather you put a vent down low near the basking spot and another up high on the cooler side, with the effect bieng you draw air from down low across the enclosure to up high, heating the cool side as you go. Is that the gist of it?
I see some enclosures with round vents at the front under the glass doors - are they required if I put one on the side (hot side) and the other at the back (cool side)?
