Hello fellow reptile lovers,
One of my Jungle pythons (Hyde) is about 8 years old and just laid her 2nd clutch ever.
She chose the smallest cave to nest in so while she was laying her eggs I could see the cave lifting up rhythmically. Didn't think anything of it except "I THINK SHE'S FINALLY LAYING".
It's been a few days since this and she's been out to sunbake and "hunt" a couple times and I've noticed that the middle of her body is still twitching. It actually really looks like she's got hiccups.
She's had a feed and is currently wrapped around her eggs and still has the hiccup twitch.
I don't remember her having this problem last clutch. I do remember her doing some muscle thing around the eggs but not like this.
In the last clutch there were a couple babies that had neurological issues and died. I kept one who is happy af.
What are my possibilities?
Thank you
