Knob tail breeding

hi! just wondering if it’s ethical to breed smooth knob tail geckos with rough knob tails? the breeder i am in contact with to buy a female from has assured me it’s fine but just thought i should check. thanks!

thank you! i searched it up and couldn’t find any rules on it but it just didn’t seem right to do. i guess some breeders will say anything to sell their geckos?
