Recently had a bank of enclosures made and bought this with the intent of using it for the new bank. Ended up going with a simpler heating method (yeah yeah i'm only a female).

Instead of just leaving this in the cupboard to accumulate dust "in case" i need it later is getting ridiculous i would rather sell and use the money for other things.

It is brand new. I have seen these in pet shops for sale at around the $680.00 mark. Cheapest I have been able to find it is URS at $509.25 and that excludes postage.

I am asking $400 or best offers.

Please PM or email [email protected]

The following infro on the ADCS II is taken from the user guide:

Status Display

☼16:55 S1=29.8°CH

This is the normal display for the unit. If the unit is left displaying anything else for more
than 1 minute without a key being pressed then it will return to this display.

Control period

The first character of the status display shows the current control period:-

☼ Day time operation
(Moon symbol) Night time operation
▲Ramping up from night to day
▼ Ramping down from day to night

Current Time

The current time is shown next on the status display and is shown as
Hours:Minutes. This will be 00:00 (Flashing) if the clock has not been set.

Current Temperature

The current temperature being measured by one of the sensors is shown
next along with the sensor number. The display will constantly cycle round the
available sensors showing each one for 15 seconds.

Eg. S1=20.8°C OR S2=85.5°F

If there is an alarm then an alarm indicator will be shown and the
temperature display will flash.

S1▲32.6°C The temperature is above the high limit
S2▼22.4°C The temperature is below the low limit
S1F50.0°C The sensor probe is faulty (Short circuit)
S2F0.0°C The sensor probe is faulty (Open circuit)

A flashing temperature display will be accompanied by the alarm LED
flashing and an audible alarm if this is enabled.
To silence the audible alarm hold ←, the audible alarm will then only
sound again if the alarm reoccurs or a different alarm occurs. The alarm LED
and display will continue to flash whilst the alarm condition is present.

Heater ON/OFF

The final character in the status display pulses to show the amount of
power currently being supplied to the heater. If the unit is in pulse control mode
then the indicator is displayed at the same time as power is supplied to the
heater. If the unit is in dimming mode then the on/off period of the indicator will
be proportional to the amount of power being supplied.

From the status display

← Silences any audible alarm
→ Enter the menu
↑ Display min/max temperatures
↓ Display min/max temperatures

Min/Max temperature display

Minimum and maximum temperatures are available for up to the last seven days. The first part of the display shows how long ago and which sensor
the display is for.

eg. -1S1▼24.8°C▲26.0°C

This display shows :-

-1 Yesterday (1 day ago)
Note. No number is displayed for today’s display
S1 The display is for sensor 1
▼24.8°C The minimum temperature
▲36.0°C The maximum temperature

From the min/max temperature display

← Silence any audible alarm
→ Hold to reset current min/max to current temperature
↑ Go back 1 day (if available) or return to the status display
↓ Go forwards 1 day or return to the status display

Setting the time

From the initial status display press → to access the menu
The display will show ‘Time 00:00’ (If the time has not been set).
Press →, the first ‘00’ (Hours) will flash, use ↑ and ↓ to set the hours.
Press →, the second ‘00’ (Minutes) will flash, use ↑ and ↓ to set.
Press → again to complete setting the time.
Press ← to return to the status display or ↑ and ↓ to check/set other
items in the menu (See next section).

Menu

Each setting in the menu is shown as a message followed by its current value.

Whilst a setting is shown (not flashing)

← Return to the status display
→ Adjust the setting
↑ Show the next setting
↓ Show the previous setting

Control Period

The ADCS II has two temperatures at which it controls, one for the day
time (☼Temp) and one for the night time ([moon symbol] Temp). The night time period can be
controlled by either a time period, the light sensor or a mixture of both. The
☼Start and (Moon symbol) Start times define a period that will always be selected as day time,
between these times day time control will always be selected. Outside of the this
timed period the light sensor is used to determine day or night. Whenever the
period changes from day to night the control temperature will ramp down from
☼Temp to (Moon Symbol) Temp over a period controlled by the RampTime setting. When the
period changes from night to day the opposite occurs and the temperature
ramps up.

To enable the night time drop function to be controlled completely by
the light sensor set the ☼Start and (Moon symbol) Start times to times that will always be
inside daylight hours (eg. 11:00 and 13:00).

To disable the night time drop function set the Light sensitivity to
Maximum (Permanent ☼).

To make the night time drop function work on just the timer (Ignore the
light sensor) set the light sensitivity to Minimum (Permanent [Moon Symbol] ).

When setting the light sensitivity the first character on the display shows
what the sensor is currently detecting. It will change from (moon symbol) to ☼ as the setting is
increased and from ☼ to (moon symbol) as the setting is decreased or if the sensor.

Additional Sensors

Up to 3 additional sensors may be fitted to the ADCS II by simply
plugging them in at the back of the unit. Additional sensors should be fitted in
order, so if you have just 1 additional sensor it should be fitted as sensor 2. The
number of additional sensors fitted should then be entered in the menu.
Additional sensors can be used with the fixed sensor to control at an average
temperature or just used to monitor. If a number of sensors is used for
averaging control then the first so many sensors must be used, so if 3 sensors
are used for averaging then the fixed sensor (Sensor 1), Sensor 2 and Sensor 3
will be used.

Control Response

This setting allows the temperature control of the unit to be tailored to a
particular environment. The setting varies from 1 to 7, generally the default
setting of 4 gives good control. A lower setting could be used where the
controlled space takes a long time to heat up or cool down. A higher setting
could be used where the controlled space heats up or cools down very quickly.

IF the temperature never seems to reach the desired value and the
heater is never at full power then try increasing the setting.

IF the temperature constantly seems to vary up and down around the
desired value and the heater is varied from nothing to maximum then try
decreasing the setting.

High limit cut-out

Normally the unit controls the power to the heater using an electronic
switch (A triac) but an electromechanical switch (A relay) is also included as a
back-up. If a sensor fault (On a sensor being used for control) or the cut-out
temperature is exceeded then the unit will cut power to the heater using the
relay (You will hear a click). If the temperature falls the relay will be used to
supply power to the heater again. In effect the unit becomes an ON/OFF
controller using the relay if the triac in unable to control the temperature for any
reason. The high limit cut-out temperature can be set independently of the high
temperature alarm so that the alarm can occur either before the cut-out
operates or afterwards if the temperature continues to rise.

Power Failure

The ADCS II has a back-up facility that will allow the clock to keep time
for a short period without mains power. During a power failure the time is
displayed flashing and the alarm LED and beeper are activated for a short
period once per minute. The clock will keep time without power for
approximately 1 hour, after this period when power returns the clock will display
00:00 (Flashing). The other settings are stored in non-volatile memory and
should always be retained.

12V Power Output

The 12V output terminals on the back of the unit can be used to supply
power to an external device (eg. A small fan). The output can supply 12V at up
to 250mA. To make a connection press on the small orange lever with a small
flat screwdriver, insert the stripped end of your wire and release the lever.

Communications

The ADCS II is capable of communicating with a PC using an optional
interface and software.

WARNING

The socket on the back of the unit is NOT an ethernet connection and
should not be connected to an ethernet network under any circumstances.
Please keep all packaging and proof of purchase for future reference.
