Hey again, just thought id mention its an all day festival with loads of activities for the family, heres the write up from the website.

Everglades biggest boldest event. Enjoy a midsummer day of folk, light classical and bluegrass music, belly-dance, egyptian temple dance, african drumming and dance, didjeridu, playback theatre, marauding pirates, storytelling, interactive circus, reptiles in the pit (and in the pond) and all-day children's paint-in.

For breakfast, Viennese pancakes and fruit salad will be accompanied with celtic harp and folk guitar instrumentals in the Peacock Courtyard.

After a Welcome to Country from the traditional owners of the Blue Mountains, performances in the Garden Theatre and Glades will run till sunset.

Don't miss the land-locked synchronised swimming competition by Ruby Bloomers women's circus or the world music dance party that will kick off at the midday and again at twilight.

The afternoon will be smooth and melodic with the best folk, bluegrass, classical and world music performers that the Blue Mountains have to offer.

The kids can talk to the crocodile if the pirates let them, and have a lesson in didjeridu and clapsticks. There'll be stories, painting, playback theatre and, well, pirates. King Arthur may be on the premises. The big question: will Santa be there - in this heat, so far from the North Pole with only six shopping days till Christmas?

On that subject, browse the Mountains Arts & Crafts Market on the Cherry Terrace for unique Christmas presents.

Feast from Everglades barbecue and food stalls or BYO picnic (and bottle of wine). Watch the sandstone cliffs of the Jamison Valley light up at sunset to the sounds of didjeridu, african drums, folk and bluegrass instrumentals and song.

The day will end as it started with the strains of celtic harp by Dawn Egan playing ancient carols in the candle-lit garden.

Entry: Cost for the day is $10 adult; $8 concession and National Trust members; $5 children; family of four $25.
