Hi , i just got a new female bearded dragon to put with my male , i notcied when i put them together the male was a bit rough on her biting her tail a bit nothing to serious , is this normal ? They are the same age and pretty much the same size .

Thanks

This is not uncommon when they first meet, but I would keep a close eye on them, especially in the first couple of days. Some bearded dragons never end up getting along and therefore shouldn't be housed together, but I've housed pairs together for years with no problems after the inititial first hour or so when you first put them together. Of course the mating ritual can sometimes seem quite violent on the males part, but that biting is mostly around the back of the neck and there is rarely any damage done in my experience. How old are your dragons? Is there any chance of us seing some photos? :D
