That did make sense junglepython2, but obviously they can digest in less temps.

cris, how does a beardie eating its own crap prove that it cannot digest its food?

cris, how does a beardie eating its own crap prove that it cannot digest its food?
why would it eat it if it was properly digested?

So the logic is that the lizard can function in all ways (ie. passing crap) without adequate heat, but it cannot digest the food properly? And therefore somehow the lizard thinks the "partially" digested food is good to eat? Therefore it is proven that beardies cannot digest their food under a certain temperature.

That is pure genius.

Never had a problem with our beardys kept with basking end at 33c. Remember that directly under the heat source it will be higher anyway. Im inclined to think they will simply bask longer to reach their happy temps.
Ours have never eaten poo, though we are quick to remove any. It may be lena, that you have simply overlooked a poo or two, or that they digested the pellets better than usual and there was'nt much solid waste from it. Other than that, as someone said, it does get trampled into substrate after a while, using a substrate that makes cleaning easier , and solid waste more visible will alleviate your concern.
enjoy your beardys. :)

take the temperature from directly under the heat source and you will probly find that it is hotter then 32c
it sounds all good to me, oh and have you actually seen it eat the poo? or are you just guessing?
