Here's one of the Cooltong Locals. Lots of these big Goannas around this year, also plenty of Beardies as well. Chezza

Man they have got a solid tail on em' ay.... as thick as their body....

Hi PJ, Cooltong is about 13ks out of Renmark. Renmark is 250ks or there abouts, North East of Adelaide, approx 1 1/2 hrs from Mildura over the border in Vic. That guy was approx. 1mtr in length, but hubby Dave says he knows of some up the Ral Ral Creek heaps bigger than that. He's gonna show me some when we go up there in the boat. wrong, that is a sand goanna (varanus gouldi)
