hi guys,
my brother has a pair of northern spiny tailed geckoes and at the moment that are about 8cm long and he has the pair of them is a plastic (tadpole thingo) tub with a lid.

i have a couple of questions that he THINKS he knows the answers to, but doesnt.
if you can answer any of these, then please do:-

1. What kind of substrate is better sand or reptibark (or something similar).

in my opinion, because they use their toes as little suction cups, they shouldn't be on sand (it would be like putting a wet frog in sand and telling it to climb a glass window)

2. what size on enclosure is better for an 8cm pair of them. a A5 size enclosure (tadpole thingo) or a 2 Foot long melamine one.

They looked very cramped in the little one, and there is to room to put anything in except a little stick for them to hide underneath.

3. What UV bulb should be used 0.3, 0.5 or 0.10

thankyou,
Kel
