I had an ant problem in the house and while l am not a tree hugger l hate using "heavy" sprays and potions...well a friend of mine left behind some "OFF" a commercial body repellant for insects suitable for children 12 months upwards so in desparation l sprayed some around the kitchen and holey dooley within in minutes NO-ANTS and still none three days later ......yahoo !!!!....this "OFF" [brand name] is available in woolies and coles as a plastic pump pack........cheers solar 17 [Baden]
 
I'll have to keep that in mind cause I've had an ant problem in my kitchen before. Haven't seen any this year as yet (knock on wood) but if the little buggers do come around I'll get some.
 
If you're after something non-chemical, I've heard that cinnamon works well, though it does sound a little odd!
 
you wont get rid of them that easily. ants rule the world.:evil:
