Perenties get large so you need a large area. Plus they dont tame like some other monitors. They are always to be watched when in there enclosure as they can turn on very fast...believe me. I work with them every day, and love them!!!! But they are a very smart.

They can and do become quiet, but like most monitors it is luck of the draw. They definitely aren't an animal to be taken lightly though.
