the largest of my juvie papuanis shed the other day. Probably the most spectactular aussie t around in terms of color. Post moult they get a lovely cinnamon carapace and adults have blue setae on the femurs.

What substance is that? Kinda looks like mealworms?

urg, right after dinner too... cool pics though, despite the horribly creepy spider.
 
no t is deadly, old world t's give a painful bite(all australian tarantula's are old world species) but no recorded deaths from any t as far as i'm aware. That specimen is on spagnum moss.
