Somebody asked me what a pinkie pump was but it would have been off topic in the thread in question so I am raising it here.
Pinkie pumps are used to force feed animals that will not or cannot feed on their own. Basically it allows you to pump food (possibly pinkies) into their gullet. It also gives you the opportunity to introduce medicines into the food.
It is not something I have ever resorted to using but I would consider it if all other methods have failed. Done quickly I believe that using a pinkie pump would be less stressful on the animal than other methods of force feeding.
