i really like pygmy mulga monitors, and i would like to know some more info on them!!!

i am planning to build a 150 cm long by 60cm wide by 60cm high melemine tank.

i have heard that ceramic heaters are not good for monitors so what would i use for a pygmy?

any info on them would be much appreciated.:D

Although they do well in an enclosure like that you would be better off making the height the largest dimension as they are a climbing species. I use a 50 watt halogen to provide a basking spot over 60C. There have been some excellent setups in past threads, have a search and you will find plenty of info and pics of good setups.

I have raised several species of monitor, skink, gecko and some pygopods without UV. At the moment in fact I am raising Spencers, Ackies and Perenties without it. They all do fine.
