quick question

I have an eastern blue tongue of unknow sex an was just wondering if it was possible for him to mix with a bearded dragon of similar size

Should not be a problem aslong as approximately same size, big enough enclosure, plenty of hides....

i was thinking of a Pogona vitticeps,

I think so. Be careful though that they both get the appropriate temperatures and a large enough enclosure for them to get away from each other. You could even provide two basking spots. One at 30C for the bluey and one at about 40C for the beardie. I recently housed a central bearded dragon with two eastern bearded dragons.

im thinking of doing this sounds like a good plan
but how big does the enclosure have to be?
ive got a 4ft at the moment
