Hey all quick question (hopefully quick reply).

I'm setting up an esky incubator with heat mat or cord, and was just wondering which thermostat would be most effective for this pupose. I'm thinking the Microclimate B2 pulse proportional stat - just looking for confirmation before spending my dollars :)

Ben,
I setup an MDF box lined with foam as an incubator...1000mm x 400mm x 400mm...used a 9m heat cord just looped up and down the floor of the box. I use a Microclimate DL2 Pulse-Proportional thermostat and I cannot believe the accuracy.

I use the dimming stat.
I prefer to buy that one as I can use it for other purposes later if required.

i dont know if its wise but im just using a probe thermostat ive been told they arnt very reliable but i trust them enough the one i got in my pythng enclosure is dead on

With those ones jimmy, i find that the temp dial isnt very spot on, but if you "tune" in the temperature with a thermometre then they work fine. My one i have on blockers enclosure keeps it at an exact 32C all the time.
