G'day all.. Sue and I went out with my mum for lunch today and on the way home we saw this big guy on the side of the road

my guess is around about 5-7 years i have a 3 year old that lives in a 6ft tank and i can not stretch my hand ovr his shell now i have to use 2 hands.
him being wild would have way more growth room.
that is just my guess
 
5-7 years? I know that they live for well over 30 years :)

I'll guess 25 and 4 months. And how could you not love that silly smile they always seem to have!
 
LOL well I'm not going to try and guess his age but he did look old as his shell looked old well alot older than other turtles I have seen

Thanks for all you kind words every one it sure dose make you (me) feel all good inside to no that I may have just saved his life :)

For an Expansa, that just a little tacker... Expansa grow very fast under optimal conditions, though not all wild turtles grow under "optimal conditions", so I'd guess it is somewhere between 5 and 30 years old ;)

Oh, nice save BTW, my fav species of turt.
