setting up heatlamp AFTER buying beardie?

hi guys,
I bought the tank for my beardie yesterday and today i took a trip up to my dads place in redhead for a week and the breeder i want to buy the beardie off is in windale so i plan to get the beardie on the way home from my dads place and stop at a petshop and buy all the heating, lighting and the rest of bits and pieces (plants and basking spots etc.) and when i get home setup the tank for him and then put him in when its setup.
I am just wondering if you guys think that is a bad idea?

i would have set the tank up , got the basking spot temp right . done everything else and then go and buy the beardie . but your way should work ok , if u can get everything from the petshop put it in/setup all in the same day ......

i was at the pet store yesterday, i would've bought everything then but i had a guitar lesson to get to so i was in a rush and they had to get a forklift to get the tank out of storage so i had to wait for a bit.
