so, I have 2 bluetongues. an eastern and a blotched..
I assume the eastern is female and the botched is a male.
I want to get an opposite sex for both species thus I need to be sure of sex.
so they are both running around outside and show no aggression or interest in eachother. so am sure they are both female or a male and female.
last night I found another blotchy in my yard. so I put it in with my 2 to see reactions. the blotchy I had went and bit it on the back while the eastern was indifferent...
from this I assume my blotchy is definitely a male as he attacked the wild one. and the eastern is definitely a female? or do different bluetongue species not show sexual / territorial interest in eachother and the eastern could be a male? petshop said the eastern was minimum 9 months old.
wild one is back in wild now btw.
any ideas?
