Skin ID help pls

Looks like a small-eyed snake to me. Scale count is 15, I counted 14 on the picture.
Are the ventral scales on the tail single or divided?

How do you get 14? I'm only very new to scale counting but I keep getting 13...?

It's not an Eastern Brown, don't worry, they don't climb into rafters like that, it's just a harmless carpet python skin, as for the length of time it's been there, it'd be hard to tell.

Definitely NOT a python. Be cautious.
 
my opinion looks like a brown scales and due to the size of the snake theres not many others that can grow so big try placeing moth balls around the perimiter of your house and in the roof the snake dont like the sent it puts off (cant blame them lol) but i thought it was a old wives tale till i put my dig hungry dp in his feeding tank and placed em around the rat and he would not touch it and had trouble feeding him for weeks in that container hope this helps

Wouldn't that drive off beneficial lizards too ?
