Snake Hygene

I noticed my snake has done a poo recently. She has been hiding under/in the newspaper for the past week and a half even though she has a box she usually sleeps in.

At what point do you say well I need to put fresh newspaper in and have to disturb the snake. I don't want to distrub her too often but I know I need to put in clean paper.

Normally when she is in her box I just move the box about and she is quit safe and happy, or my daughter looks after her while I do the cleaning.

Do it as soon as she does go to the toilet.

just remove the news paper, and put her into her hide, then change it and put the hide back in ontop of the new news paper. That's what I do whenever ziggy is under the newspaper and it needs changing, and she's fine with that.

A small amount of handling for cleaning purposes is fine, better to do that then leave the snake in an unclean cage.

Agree 100% clean up asap, even if it means disturbing her.
