"Soggy Jaw"...imformation please

Recently i have been discussing solutions...or lack of ...
involving my female vitticeps..."Adrian".... got her in Nov 2006..told 3-4yrs old
after vet treatment...that hasnt rid her of her "infection"....
& now teeth & jaw bone loss.... i have heard of "Soggy Jaw"
but know nothing about it....apparently can appear in older reptiles

can anyone enlighten me?

I'm presuming you are talking about Canker? If it is there is plenty of information under that topic via the net.

well after reading that.....she has never had a discharge from her gum or mouth....
when i got her she had green gums/teeth...from poor diet....
vet treated for infection with Baytril injection which i administered & Framixin H...antibiotic -anti inflammatory
her jaw still inflammed & hasnt reduced but increased in size...
but ...according to these stats...isnt Canker....thank hell for that!
so now still on voyage ...trying to find out whats wrong

Hey Dragon_Lady!
Have you done x-rays for calcium/bone density? I'd be checking for MBD...
Not classed as "Soggy Jaw", but certainly is an issue...
If the animal had poor diet prior to your purchasing her, I'd say that's what you'd be looking at. Some people call it "Squishy Jaw", but the bottom line is a calcium deficiency, can't be "fixed", but it can be prevented and you can stop it from getting worse.
Start with a shot of calcium, SC, then every three days thereafter.
I have a beardie who had MBD (I've diagnosed the condition before, never had personal experience with it until now!), boost up the calcium in their diet (ESPECIALLY the leafy greens) and the problem "usually" subsides within a couple of weeks of this treatment... depending on how bad the condition is at the time.

i have put up so many threads....trying to figure out a possible cure for her
but every time it seems it spins around 360* ...& back were i started

thank you all for the advice given....
thank you especially to JasonL...who has debated with me with her condition
a truly logical brains trust ....
i am certainly lucky i still have her.....
i suppose its like doing a jig-saw & not having all the pieces
when she stops eating naturally....then its her time
till then i'll enjoy her company...& she will keep watching footy or cricket
