Thanks, gruba. There's 812 good reasons to go ahead with my solar plan
interesting however in vic we dont get 24 hours of sunlight 365 days a year. i have a 2kw system and most systems panels are only 80 to 90% efficient, on a nice sunny 28 oC day i get 1850 watts generating the hotter it gets the less efficient they get, today mild 16oC day im getting 540 watts at last look. There is sooooo much spin in regards to these systems. Great if you're in qld were the buy back tariff is large but pretty average down here in Vic where its low. Will take me 15 years at least to pay mine off.
yeah as said, the initial cost is a bit hefty straight up. but the reason people are getting them are purely for long term benefits, and it will benefit some straight away if they actually have the cash to pay it upfront easily LOL.
as for the Clear Solar remark, i dont know where you are located but funnily enough one of the companies i install for is clear solar lol, i can understand your frustration, trust me im the one that cops it because im the one that turns up and meets the customers :S, but after explaining the reason behind the delays and after the installation they are much better and are very happy with the system.
There are delays with anyone you end up choosing, mainly the factor of the delays in equiptment from overseas because of high demand throughout all the companies, aswell as the fact of booking up WAY too many jobs to what the installers can acctually handle sometimes. This week i am even having to have a week off (which is great!) but is purely the fact of no equiptment, and thats the whole 5 companies i install for. just a heads up before dishing out too much blame for the wrong reasons.
I appreciate the insight . It's not hard to keep me happy as a customer though - a simple reply to an email is usually all it takes, rather than ignoring me. I'm in Townsville and Clear Solar is trying to branch out up here from their Brisbane office. I know who their sub-contractor is and am tempted to contact them direct just to see if they know anything about my installation.
